Who I work with:

Adults who want to understand themselves and feel better

I work with adults [aged 18 and over]. Sessions are in Latvian and English. If you are not sure whether I can help with your situation, write to me — I will reply and, if needed, suggest another specialist.

Frequently asked questions:

Before the first meeting

How should I prepare for the first visit?

No special preparation is needed. If you like, jot down a few thoughts about what worries you and what you would like to change.

Is what I say confidential?

Yes. Psychologists follow a professional code of ethics and confidentiality. The only exceptions are those set by law, when someone’s life or health is at risk — I will explain these at our first meeting.

How is a psychologist different from a psychiatrist?

A psychologist is not a doctor and does not prescribe medication. A psychologist helps you understand thoughts, emotions and behaviour through conversation and psychological methods. If needed, I will suggest seeing a psychiatrist or another specialist as well.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals. Sometimes a few sessions are enough, sometimes the work lasts several months. We can discuss this after the first meeting.

How do I cancel or reschedule?

Please let me know at least [24 hours] in advance by email.

The first step:

Book a session

A few words about what brought you are enough. I will reply and we will find a time that suits you.
