Meet Kate Ikauniece:

A safe place to understand yourself and find your balance again

Clinical and health psychologist in Riga. Sessions in person on Elizabetes iela and online, psychological assessment.

About me, briefly:

I help adults cope with anxiety, stress and the difficulties that health problems bring.

I am a clinical and health psychologist. I am interested in the whole person — thoughts, feelings, behaviour, and how they affect our health and our relationships with others.

In our sessions I help you understand what is happening and find ways to live with it or change it. I work in person in a calm practice room in central Riga, and online.

Services

All services
01

Individual session in person

Elizabetes iela 45/47, Riga · 50 min

A conversation in a calm, private room where you can talk about what feels difficult right now. Together we look for understanding and practical ways to feel better.

02

Online session

Video call · 50 min

The same session from wherever suits you — if you live outside Riga, abroad, or find it hard to come in person.

03

Psychological assessment

In person, [2–3 meetings] · [duration]

A structured assessment of cognitive processes and emotional state using standardised methods. Afterwards you receive a written report and an explanation of the results.

What I can help with:

The most common reasons people come to me

You do not need a “serious enough” reason to talk to a psychologist. If something has been getting in the way of feeling well for a while — that is enough.

  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Stress and burnout
  • Low mood
  • Chronic illness and coming to terms with a diagnosis
  • Psychosomatic complaints
  • Sleep problems
  • Life changes and crises
  • Loss and grief
  • Self-esteem and relationships
Your first visit to a psychologist:

How we work together

  1. 1

    Get in touch

Fill in the booking form or send an email. I will reply as soon as I can and we will agree on a time.

  2. 2

    First meeting

We get to know each other, you tell me what brought you, and I ask questions to understand the situation. No special preparation needed.

  3. 3

    A plan together

We agree on goals, how often to meet and the way of working that suits you best.

The first step:

Book a session

A few words about what brought you are enough. I will reply and we will find a time that suits you.
